The Black & Tan Hall is seeking vendors to participate in our Black & Tan Hall-iday Bazaar, Friday, December 22nd, 6-10pm. The Bazaar will feature a diverse array of local wares, as well as a community celebration with food, drinks, live music, and a story-gathering booth to collect Seattleites’ memories of the original Black & Tan Hall.
Please express your interest by Tuesday, December 12th by emailing Ben Hunter at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include:
A brief description of the goods or services you would like to vend, including the price range
Pictures of your work, or a link to any website or social media profile that showcases what you do and your best contact information
If you make something beautiful, healing, yummy, thought-provoking, or necessary you would like to offer to the people, please get at us! If you are a barber, a baker, a metalworker, a masseuse, a painter, a pickler, or anything in between, we would like to make room for your artistry in our festive marketplace. Residents of Hillman City and surrounding neighborhoods are especially encouraged to apply.
Inspired by Seattle’s Black & Tan Club prominent in the 1930s, the new Black & Tan Hall is a cooperatively-owned performing arts and restaurant venue which seeks to maintain Rainier Valley as a destination for cross-cultural arts and education events. Historically, Black & Tan clubs offered a haven for people of all races in an era when segregation dictated social boundaries. The B&T Hall embraces that inclusive ethos while celebrating Seattle’s rich music and arts history.
